Program Information

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks proposals to support student access to and accessibility of technology.  Allowable expenses include:  improved general access to computer laboratories, student access improvements, student training, and  improving the level of technology for all students. 

Applicants may NOT request funding for:

  1. Equipment and supplies used exclusively by faculty and staff in classrooms and lab instruction.
  2. Computer hardware, software, or upgrades for faculty/staff offices and faculty/staff-only workstations. 
  3. Department-specific or limited-access equipment or technology which has limited or little potential for student use.
  4. Research equipment.   

Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the Request for Proposals for allowable expenses/activities as well as the required application components. 

Deadline and Submission Information

Program Deadlines:

Student Technology Fee Proposal RFP released  Tuesday March 10, 2015
Complete proposals are submitted to Deans/Division Directors for review and signature 12:00pm Monday April 6, 2015
Complete proposals are submitted to ORSP by Deans/ Division Directors  4:00pm Wednesday April 8, 2015
Funding decision letters distributed to applicants Friday May 15, 2015

Student Technology Fee proposals must be submitted to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs by the Deans/Division Directors.  Full proposals must be submitted in hard copy format to Laurie Taylor, Director, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, 2243 Andersen Library.  Please direct questions to Laurie Taylor at x5289 or
