Program Information

The Undergraduate Research Program (URP) invites applications to the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program.  URP offers three undergraduate research opportunities during summer.

URP invites applications for ten-week mentored fellowships at UW-Whitewater.  Up to 15 fellowships will be awarded with stipends of $3000. In addition, up to $500 in funding for supplies, services and travel expenses. Mentors of selected research fellows will receive a summer stipend of $2500.

The UW-Whitewater Office of Continuing Education, in partnership with URP, awards up to four fellowships in Community Based Research (CBR) of $3,000 each to support community-based research in the state of Wisconsin.  In addition, up to $1000 funding for supplies, services and travel expenses may be available. Mentors of selected research fellows will receive a summer stipend of $2500.

SURF announces a new summer research fellowship in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins, Colorado. Up to two fellowships of approximately 8-10 weeks in duration will be awarded with stipends of $3,000.   The specific dates of this fellowship will be determined by the CSU sponsoring mentor. Up to $300 is also available for travel expenses.  Shared student housing is provided.
