Student Solid Waste Research
The University of Wisconsin System seeks proposals for research that has the potential of improving or expanding projects related to solid waste issues in Wisconsin including the reuse and recycling of materials; composting; source separation; and household hazardous waste disposal.
University of Wisconsin System graduate students and undergraduate students with at least sophomore standing are eligible to apply. Only one application per student will be accepted. Up to two students may share the student salary. Grant recipients are encouraged to use their research project as the basis for obtaining academic credit.
Each proposal requires a faculty or academic staff advisor. An advisor may serve as a supervisor on up to two student projects per year.
NOTE: This program is closed and NOT soliciting applications. Applicants may contact Laurie Taylor (email@example.com, x5289) to be added to our Request Log to receive the new Request for Proposals [RFP] if/when it is released. Applicants should not develop an application based on the RFP posted on this page—it is provided for informational/historical purposes only.
Applicants must contact Eileen Norby, Solid Waste Research Program Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org, 608-262-8252), prior to proposal submission.
Applicants must first submit the proposal to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs for required signatures and internal review.
