The University of Wisconsin System seeks proposals to increase the enrollment, and improve the retention and graduation of minorities in teacher preparation through the Teacher Recruitment and Retention Initiative [TRRI]. Priority will be given to proposals that demonstrate partnerships between relevant campus programs/offices and local K-12 school districts.
A total of $150,000 will be available for the 2011-2012 academic year to advance minority recruitment initiatives. The funds will be used to design and implement new projects as well as to support enhancements to existing initiatives (i.e., initiatives design to evaluate impact of current programming or significantly expand an existing project beyond its current scope and/or location).
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Office of Research and Sponsored Programs deadline is FIRM. Each UW System institution may submit one application. UW-Whitewater applications will be reviewed by the Academic Development Committee, who will make recommendations to the Provost.
