The University of Wisconsin System Administration seeks proposals to improve the preparation of classroom teachers, and the programs that prepare teachers, through the design and use of standards-based, performance assessments through the PK-16 Teacher Quality Initiative.

A total of $150,000 will be available for the 2011-2012 academic year to advance TQI.  These funds may be used to design and implement new projects as well as to support significant enhancements to existing initiatives (i.e., initiatives designed to evaluate impact of current programming or significantly expand an existing project beyond its current scope).

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Office of Research and Sponsored Programs deadline is FIRM.  Each UW System institution may submit one application.  UW-Whitewater applications will be reviewed by the Academic Development Committee, who will make recommendations to the Provost.
