Groundwater Research

Program Information

The University of Wisconsin System and the Wisconsin Departments of Natural Resources, Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection, and Commerce seek proposals to four separate programmatic requests, collectively called the Wisconsin Groundwater Research and Monitoring Program.  This program provides funding for research and monitoring proposals dealing with groundwater, pesticides, and/or onsite wastewater treatment systems.

Through the use of this joint solicitation, interested faculty and staff may prepare project proposals that can be submitted to several different funding sources simultaneously and eliminates the need to submit similar proposals several times for different solicitation efforts.  This year, up to $472,000 will be available for new monitoring and/or research to meet specific agency needs and objectives.

Deadline and Submission Information

Program Deadline: TBA for 2012-2013

Investigators for all programmatic requests must work with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to submit proposals using iPropose, a web-based proposal submission system that will be open for registration after Monday 24 October 2011.  Please visit the Water Resource Institute website (http://wri.wisc.edu) for more information or contact the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs administers institutional approval and clearances and communicates approval to the sponsor.
