The Applied Research Grant [ARG] and joint Applied Research-WiTAG Programs are closely tied to the goals of University of Wisconsin System’s Growth Agenda for Wisconsin to develop advanced human potential and the knowledge economy that employs that potential.  These programs promote technology transfer and economic development throughout the state by supporting faculty/staff research.

The UW System-sponsored ARG offers one year awards for up to $50,000 or, for collaborative proposals, up to $50,000 per participating institution.  Faculty and staff from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.

The ARG-WiTAG Program offers a maximum of $150,000 in funding over a three year period in science and technology fields only.  Intellectual property using ARG-WiTAG funding must be assigned to the WiSys Technology Foundation.

Program Deadline: 21 February 2012 [Extended from 30 December 2011]
