Academic Staff Development
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks proposals for individual professional development/training opportunities that contribute to the needs of the institution. Such opportunities enable staff to increase their effectiveness by expanding knowledge in their areas of expertise, developing skills, and enhancing morale.
Professional development/training opportunities are an important component of an effective personnel management system. Such opportunities enable staff to increase their effectiveness by expanding knowledge in their areas of expertise, refining and developing skills, and enhancing staff morale. The critical functions performed by academic staff require that professional development/training opportunities be facilitated for institutional as well as individual reasons.
This deadline is for programs that will occur between 1 July 2012 and 1 June 2013 in which applicants require additional resources to complete proposed activities. The Committee anticipates releasing a separate Request for Proposals early in the 2012-2013 academic year to support shorter project durations and professional development activitites; proposals will likely be accepted on the first of the month between October 2012 and April 2013. Additional details will be forthcoming.
