21st Century Studies Program

Program Information

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Center for 21st Century Studies seeks proposals to support research and encourages dialogue across disciplinary boundaries on topics of compelling concern to the humanities, arts and social sciences broadly constructed.

The Center for 21st Century Studies provides each fellow with work space on the ninth floor of Curtin Hall at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, as well as research and library assistance as resources permit.  Each fellow is expected to participate in the Center Fellows Seminars and public programs throughout the year, and to give a public presentation on his or her research no later than the academic year following the fellowship.

Deadline and Submission Information

Program Deadline: TBA for 2012-2013

The sponsor provides only a modest award to support a full semester release.  Sabbatical award recipients are encouraged to apply and may be given preference during campus review of proposals.

Applicants must first submit the proposal to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs for internal review, required signatures, and confirmation of match commitment.
