Program Innovation Fund

The University of Wisconsin-Extension seeks innovative, interdisciplinary proposals that promote innovation and collaboration, and advance UW System Growth Agenda strategic goals.

WITQ Program

The University of Wisconsin System seeks proposals aimed at increasing student achievement in the English language arts, mathematics, science, foreign languages, social studies, art and design, dance, music, and theatre, by improving the teaching and principal quality at the K-12 level in Wisconsin's public and private schools. Pre-proposals are due 16 August 2012 and full proposals are due 14 September 2012.

Prototype Development

The University of Wisconsin System and WiSys Technology Foundation offer Prototype Development Funds [PDF] to support prototype development to advance the commercial potential of technologies developed on UW System campuses. Proposals may be submitted anytime.

WiSCAP

The WiSys Small Company Advancement Program [WiSCAP] connects the high-tech research and development needs of Wisconsin small companies with the technical expertise of faculty at the University of Wisconsin comprehensive campuses to stimulate economic growth, create new jobs and educate students. Proposals may be submitted anytime.

WiTAG

The WiSys Technology Foundation, Inc. [WiSys], through the WiSys Technology Advancement Grant [WiTAG], seeks pre-proposals for projects aimed at stimulating research and development that will lead to long-term extramural funding with direct intellectual property potential. Pre-proposals may be submitted at any time. Proposals may be submitted anytime.

Reassignment Time Grant

The University of Wisconsin System and WiSys Technology Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, offer limited funds to support faculty/staff reassigned time to write extramural grant applications of $50,000 or more. The maximum award is $3,500 for stipend or replacement costs. Proposals may be submitted anytime.

21st Century Studies Program

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Center for 21st Century Studies seeks proposals to support research and encourages dialogue across disciplinary boundaries on topics of compelling concern to the humanities, arts and social sciences broadly constructed. Proposals due 13 February 2012.

CIBER GRCD Program

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for International Business Education and Research [CIBER] seeks proposals through the Global Research and Curriculum Development [GRCD] Program to expand the base of international research, teaching and outreach programs for students, faculty and the business community.

Diversity Program Development

The University of Wisconsin-Extension seeks proposals to provide start-up support for new ventures that are consistent with the Extension goals and initiatives through the Diversity Program Development Initiative [DPDI]. Funds are intended to assist University of Wisconsin institutions in developing and implementing pilot programs that advance diversity and inclusivity.

Fertilizer Research

The Wisconsin Fertilizer Research Fund seeks proposals which outline an applied research study that addresses a component of a problem in the areas of soil management, soil fertility, or plant nutrition; or that addresses groundwater and surface water problems that may be related to fertilizer usage.

Combined ARG-WiTAG Program

The Applied Research Grant [ARG] and joint Applied Research-WiTAG Programs are closely tied to the goals of University of Wisconsin System’s Growth Agenda for Wisconsin to develop advanced human potential and the knowledge economy that employs that potential. These programs promote technology transfer and economic development throughout the state by supporting faculty/staff research. Proposals are due 21 February 2012.

IRH Fellowships

University of Wisconsin-Madison Institute for Research in the Humanities seeks applications for research fellowship appointments. Fellowships are awarded across the spectrum of subjects and disciplines in the humanities on the basis of the significance of the proposed research and the promise of the applicant. Proposals are due 20 February 2012.

Water Resources Institute

U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the National Institutes for Water Resources, seeks proposals for matching grants to support research on the topic of improving and enhancing the nation's water supply. Proposals are due 16 February 2012.

WEEB Grants

The Wisconsin Environmental Education Board (WEEB) seeks proposals for the development, dissemination, and implementation of environmental education programs. Proposals are due 3 February 2012.

Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium

Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium [WSGC] seeks proposals for a variety of grant opportunities including the Aerospace Outreach, Clark Graduate Fellowship, Graduate Fellowship, Higher Education Incentives, Research Infrastructure, Research Seed, Special Initiatives, Undergraduate Research, and Undergraduate Scholarship Programs.
