Data Management Plan Tool

Several institutions, led by the University of California Curation Center, have developed a web-based Data Management Plan tool to assist investigators in the development of data management plans required by federal agencies. This website also provides sample plans for applicants to review prior to the development of their own plans.

Digest of Programs and Activities Reviewed by the State of Wisconsin Under Executive Order 12372

This website contains the list of domestic assistance programs administered by federal agencies that are subject to Executive Order 12372 and selected by the State of Wisconsin for review. It is mandatory that notices of direct federal action and applications for assistance under the programs listed herein be submitted for review under the terms of the Executive Order.

The Office of Science and Technology Policy released a comprehensive listing of STEM education investments of Federal agencies.  This document includes a strategic plan to advance the state of American STEM education, as well as related data. 

National Center for Education Statistics [NCES] -  Forum of Education Statistics

This resource, provided by the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences, provides tables, publications, and reports of data collected from early childhood through postsecondary education. Additionally, data tools are available that allow users to search for schools, universities, and public libraries.

National Center for Education Statistics [NCES] - State Education Reforms (SER)

The State Education Reforms webpage compiles and disseminates data primarily collected by organizations other than the NCES on state-level education reforms.

NIH Quick Guide for Grant Applications

This resource provides guidance in preparing proposals for the National Institutes of Health. The Guide details information on how to prepare the major sections of the PHS-398 form.

NIH R01 Grant Application Mentor

The NIH R01 Grant Application Mentor Manual is designed to aid National Institutes of Health R01 grant proposals. NSF Grant Proposal Guide [GPG]

The GPG provides guidance for the preparation and submission of proposals to NSF. It is important that all proposals conform to the instructions provided in the GPG. Conformance is required and will be strictly enforced unless a deviation has been approved.

The Foundation Center

Providing a content-rich web site with a variety of free search tools, tutorials, downloadable reports, and other information updated daily, including Philanthropy News Digest, its daily news service, and PubHub, its searchable online collection of thousands of reports published by foundations and nonprofit organizations.

Foundation Finder

The Foundation Center provides free information about a specific grantmakers. Users can search by funder name or funder by state, city, or ZIP code. Foundation Finder provides grantmakers' addresses, web sites, and fiscal data. 990 Finder directs you to an organization's IRS returns (listing previous gifts and grants).

The Foundation Center: A Proposal Writing Short Course

The Foundation Center provides information on the process of proposal writing. Discusses the process of proposal writing starting from gathering background information, to preparing each individual section, to the budget, and finally submission.
